I pray to dine
upon Your every word;
To ingest
and savor
the flavor
of our Savior
deep into the
bowels of the spirit.
Your word
I masticate
as a fine delicacy
that satiates
with benevolence
and seeks to treat
the palate with splendor
I will take up
the cup
of salvation
(Ps 116:13)
that I might
eternally
savor
the flavor
of the Savior | Angels Tinkering Flight
| | Our babies learn to walk, by first
tinkering around.
We try to protect them,
and prevent them
from
falling down.
But,
sometimes
we are tardy,
and can’t complete
such tasks;
As
feet sweeps
from beneath,
and they do
fall quite fast.
We can’t prevent
their destinies,
nor solo trips
they make,
Some will
lead to contentment,
yet some
our hearts will break.
Sometimes,
faces
don’t mask,
or shield,
our eyes
from being filled by tears
of the guilt,
we undoubtedly
feel,
when life wilts.
Loved ones leave
to attend glory,
as we are left
to grieve
their story.
It’s always easy
to watch them
grow,
but devastating
when time
to go.
So,
It’s okay
to cry;
When our
angels

|  | Up Beyond The Stairs
Four heart attacks
didn’t stop my time
Quadruple bypass surgery
and yet I continued to climb
Diabetes couldn’t halt
my fight
for my journey to the top flight
Aches and pains I’d have
to bear
yet, I continued to climb
each stair
Tired, yet climbing, I did not
stop
So our Father allowed me to
reach the top
Trouble and tribulations
left behind
as God made it easier for
me to climb
A door tightly locked
as I rounded the top stair
without a key it opened;
‘Twas Jesus standing there
He opened the door without
a knock
He opened the same door
which others found locked
Glory was revealed
on the other side,
my reward for a fervent
upward climb
It is Jesus, our brother who’s
beside me here,
Seated upon a throne
here beyond the stairs. | | Path Marked | Our path God marked with a beginning and an end
Edna walked this marked path and greeted many women and many men
Edna, a small in stature woman with a large embrace;
was protected by His mighty footsteps, marked by His grace
Edna served Pathmark customers as if they were royalty;
She made sure they didn’t miss the boat-
during the days of Pathmark’s sundae floats
All were encouraged to catch a sale
Her love, kindness, and compassion never failed
Her path was marked with love for all;
from the very beginning until her final call
As with Pathmark, when God called, I’d image Edna would prance,
crank up the Al Green tapes and dance, dance, dance
Then, she’d grab her three pillows (to see above the dashboard), and prepare her faithful drive
Until God said “My faithful child, kick up your feet and enjoy the ride.
Your path I marked, and it’s come to an end.
It’s time for you to relax in peace my friend
Enjoy your eternity; it’s a walk in the park
Eternally you’re affectionately known as Mrs. Pathmark.”

the best time
of year.
When the season
was happy,
and full
of good cheer.
Hearts were full,
like the
stockings
which hung;
As I shared
the season
of the birth
